Fellow Capusleers, ISD, Gms, CCP Staff,
As of two weeks ago after getting a CT scan done, there is no trace of the cancer that tried to rob me in my life. In other words, I am cancer FREE!!!!!!!!
I had Colorectal cancer Metastasis Stage 4, and to come out the winner in the biggest battle I ever had in my life is to say I am just too damn tough to be beaten, this is even bigger than the battle recently where the losses were just unreal, and yet for me to win a greater battle means far more than the cost of a Titan.
I hope and pray that now as I begin the next phase of Aftercare and Recovery that I can move on in RL and Eve. To enjoy what I have and to take each day as it's given to me.
Thank you. |

LOL no not quite but let me tell ya, the cancer knew it was a loser from the outset and as I said I am very tough to beat. But in all honesty I did the job that required a lot of attention, and maintain a very positive attitude is one of them.
That is how I won, and yes somebody said it may come back, BUT in my house hold, it won't have that chance. |

Seriously, awesome news! Made my day that much better.
The KM is as follows, Graabeerd Khagan 40 victories, cancer 0.
Each victory was a successful completeion of each treatment session I went thru, radiation and chemo.
The radiation and chemo was done over a seven (7) week period and the latest round was done over a five (5) month period with a pause for the holidays. So it was certainly a job that I took on and made sure it got done on time.

My family and many many friends around the world stood by me thru it all, thick n thin. Even my doctors, nurses and specialists in their respective fields knew I was gonna win, they saw the determination, the positive outlook I STILL have, they saw a REAL FIGHTER who saw the task before me was gonna go down, MY WAY.
I don't know the words "giving up", thats not even in my vocabulary. I went all out, I went balls to the wall, I went after this evil known as cancer. I was bound and determined to win at all costs. I am just as determined to see this evil known as cancer wiped out in our lifetime.
As a member of the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life since 2007, I have been very aware of what was before me. And I was very well prepared in advance. |

If it's ok I like to give a brief description of what went down starting in November, Thanksgiving weekend 2012. Give a few minutes to collect my thoughts and I will post in this thread. |

Seraph Essael wrote:That's great news! Now time to settle back into real life and get the ball rolling again. Good luck to you...
Yes exactly, to resettle back to normalcy will take time. It's not an over night thing and I have had conversations with friends that it will take a lot of time. Meaning my energy level and strength will have to be rebuilt over time and doing the things I love doing out of doors, mountain biking, road biking, hiking or just getting out in the fresh air.
To get back to near normalcy as I said will take time

Hope you get to pilot your Titan with a really big grin on your face.

Heheheh, yes one of these days I will get one and believe me I'll have a grin as I travel all over. Course it's gonna be a while before I can get one since I have to work my way up the ladder to get those skills to fly one. But in the meantime....
And yes, I am one TOUGH Capsuleer!! |

Thank you all for the well wishes and congrats, I was sitting here just thinking how much this means to me to be able to come and share even MORE good news and that is I went to see my surgeon a few days ago and with the results from another scan that had to be done we decided to leave an abcess where it is and let it heal on its own. And then this week I went to my Oncologist for a check up and he said everything we planned on work and he will see me in July.
I gotta tell ya I am just so thankful, the holdays will mean a LOT more in the time to be. |
